    Could This Be a Fashion Editorial?

    There is just something about bringing my two favorite worlds – photography and fashion – together that makes my creative heart sing! I have always loved fashion photography. The styling, the attitude, the creativity, and the opportunity to turn a beautiful outfit into an entire visual story. It’s the kind of photography that really fuels my passion and reminds me why I fell in love with this art in the first place. So, when I had the opportunity to work with a beautiful, fashionable model, you already know I was excited to get behind the camera!

    For this session, we headed to Downtown Atlanta and found a location with just the right mix of city vibes and a little edge. I wanted the photographs to feel modern, stylish, and cool – like the kind of images you’d see while flipping through the pages of your favorite fashion magazine. Nothing too complicated or overdone. Just a beautiful model, edgy style, an urban backdrop, and a little creative vision bringing it all together.

    THIS is the kind of work I absolutely love creating. The kind that makes me excited to shoot, even more excited to edit, and proud to share the finished photos. My goal was to create photographs that felt like they belonged in the pages of a fashion magazine. Did I pull it off? Well, I’ll let the photographs speak for themselves…

    Puma, Come Here. I Want to Show You Something.

    I have always had a serious love for fashion photography. The styling, the creativity, the attitude, the way a great outfit and the right photography can come together to tell a story. I love all of it. One of my biggest creative dreams is to collaborate with a major fashion brand on a photo campaign. And while that opportunity hasn’t come knocking just yet, I decided there was no reason to wait around to create the kind of work I would love to be hired for. So, I grabbed a male model, styled him in two different Puma sweatsuits with sneakers to match, and got to work!

    Something else that was important to me with this session was featuring a midlife model. Fashion and style are so often centered around younger faces, but let’s not forget that there are some seriously fly men and women over 40 who know a thing or two about putting a look together! As a midlife creative myself, I wanted these photographs to reflect that. Style doesn’t have an expiration date, and neither does the ability to inspire and influence through fashion. I wanted the images to feel cool, modern, confident, and worthy of a fashion campaign.

    And let me tell you, I am SO pleased with how these photographs turned out! This session was about more than creating some cool images. It was about challenging myself creatively, stepping further into fashion photography, and proving to myself that I can create the kind of work I dream of doing on a bigger stage. If a major fashion brand ever comes calling, I want to have something FIRE to show them. And after this session? I think I’m building exactly that kind of portfolio.
